Marketplace plans must cover substance use disorder treatment as an essential health benefit, and the federal parity law requires plans that cover it to do so on terms similar to medical care. Some plans cover only certain levels of care, so check yours.

Does Medicare Pay for Rehab?

Yes. Part A covers inpatient care and Part B covers outpatient counseling, intensive outpatient services and medication treatment, with the 2026 deductibles and coinsurance shown above.

Can You Get Treatment Without Insurance?
